Our Mission
The mission of BAI is to create opportunities for people to achieve their highest level of life satisfaction. BAI was established in 2004 by Nate and Lisa Boyack and is dedicated to assisting people to live productive, meaningful lives.
Our Organization
BAI is a residential provider that serves individuals with developmental disabilities. Our agency, established in 2004, is located in Las Vegas and is certified by the state of Nevada. We offer a variety of services ranging from 24-hour home supervision to intermittent home support.

Meet Our Leadership Team
Steven Giles - Program Director
Steven Giles has worked in the social services field in different capacities since 2009. Steven has worked as a direct care staff, manager, and administrator during that time. He has experience with juveniles and adults with developmental disabilities, troubled youth with behavioral and emotional problems, teens with psychiatric disorders, and teens with Aspergers Syndrome. Steven received a BA in political science from the University of Utah and actively seeks to expand his knowledge in the social services field. Steven is committed to encouraging positive life changes to increase the quality of life for the people he serves.
Heather Sorenson - Associate Program Director
Heather is a Las Vegas native and has worked for BAI since 2011. She has spent the past eight years reaching out and assisting people with intellectual disabilities. She has gained valuable insight and experience by working in many different areas of the organization. These various experiences have played a huge role in helping her develop into a successful administrator. Heather has a passion for assisting people, helping them achieve their goals, and supporting them to become independent.
Kra-Yun Price - Associate Program Director
Kra-Yun has been with BAI since November of 2019. She has worked as a Direct Support Staff, House Manager, Medical Coordinator, and Associate Director. Kra-Yun has over 10 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities. She started her work in this field as a teenage volunteer for a local non-profit and through this involvement, Kra-Yun developed a passion for helping others. Kra-Yun’s goal is to continue to do her best to help each individual served reach their highest potential.
Semtrina Bell - Associate Program Director
Semtrina has been with BAI since 2015 and has over a decade of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Administration from the University of Phoenix and has served in a variety of roles throughout her career at BAI, including Direct Support Professional, House Manager, Medical Coordinator, and HR Specialist. Helping others has always been at the heart of her work. She is passionate about advocating for individuals and takes pride in building meaningful relationships, leading with compassion, and making a positive difference every day. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Semtrina enjoys traveling, experiencing new cultures, and spending quality time with her children and loved ones.
Kaylee Mahaffey - Behavior Analyst
Kaylee has worked for BAI since 2024. She is a Behavior Analyst in Training, SOAR instructor, and QIDP for BAI. After graduating from high school, Kaylee began working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. Her passion for helping others led her to earn a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University. Kaylee takes pride in helping others achieve their goals through a person-centered approach. She cares deeply about her clients and looks forward to using positive support strategies to support them in any way she can. Outside of BAI, Kaylee enjoys continuing her education and spending time with family.
Allison Healey - HR Associate Director
Allison was born and raised in Las Vegas and has worked for BAI since 2014. When beginning her employment at BAI, Allison started as a part-time Administrative Assistant. Allison then went on to be a Human Resources Assistant, Medical Coordinator, Office Manager, and finally, Associate Director for Human Resources. Over the course of working at BAI, Allison has gained a knowledge of not only working with people with intellectually disabilities but also being able to help guide and support the employees at BAI.
Jochabel Reese
Jochabel Reese has worked for BAI since 2020. Jochabel has spent most of her career working in administrative and teaching positions. She received her BA from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in journalism and media studies. She gained experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Clark County School District. She recognizes the importance of giving all people the opportunity to learn and grow. Jochabel uses her teaching and presentation skills to train staff on policies, procedures, and state laws. Her goal is to educate staff and build their confidence so they can succeed in their roles.
